sundays at 10am

Our Sunday morning worship gathering is designed to be relaxed, comfortable, inspiring, and fun. We want Encounter Church to feel both fresh and familiar to you. Here is an idea of what you can expect:

Just across the 40th Street Bridge in Lawrenceville, the Row House Cinema is easily accessible from both Butler Street or Penn Ave. Once you arrive, you can park in the PNC Bank parking lot, just two doors down, or find street parking, which is free on Sundays. If you'd rather not drive, the 91, 93, and 88 buses have stops nearby.

Row House Cinema is an iconic location right in the middle of Lawrenceville and also happens to be a great spot for Encounter Church. It’s warm and comfortable environment allows us to meet with God and learn from him.

Get Directions...

At the front door, you’ll be greeted with a smile by one of our friendly Guest Services team members. Don’t buzz by them too fast because they have a program they’d like to hand you with information all about Encounter. Once inside, you’ll arrive at our EC Cafe and Connection Center. Feel free to grab a hot cup of coffee or tea and a doughnut to take with you into the auditorium. If you have any questions, look for individuals with name tags and check out our Connection Center to get your free visitors gift.

EC Kids is a fun and safe environment for kids to learn and grow in their relationship with God.

After dropping off your kids or grabbing some coffee in the lobby, head into the auditorium. Find a seat wherever you’d like. If you would like assistance, there will be Service Hosts nearby to help you find the right one for you. You’ll notice an easy-going environment where people are casually dressed. If you arrive early, you’ll have no problem getting a seat of your choice. If you arrive a little late and the room looks full, don’t worry…we’ll help direct you to an open spot.

Encounter is blessed with talented musicians who love to worship Jesus and serve his church through modern music as well as fresh takes on classic hymns. Our style of music tends to gravitate to an acoustic coffee house vibe. More than the style of music, our worship is part of the way in which we prepare our hearts and minds to hear the word of God and respond to that word.

Teaching is the primary focus of our services and lasts around 30 minutes. Every week, you can expect a Bible-based message that will encourage, challenge, and empower you as you seek Jesus and grow throughout the week.

Once our gathering has ended, head back out into the lobby and feel free to mingle. We believe the church is a place to belong, and we would love to get to know you and your family. You’ll find plenty of friendly people who would love to chat. This is also a great time to visit the Connection Center to answer any questions you might have and to pick up your visitor gift.
